From the publisher Badges of military subjects are issued in Moscow, Leningrad, Volgograd, Brest, Kiev, Odessa and other hero towns. Smolensk and Murmansk yet have no the badges which have been let out in connection with assignment by it of an honorary title "Hero town". Now in falerist collections there are whole sections in which the heroic history of Armed forces of the USSR, a feat of arms of the Soviet people in days of the Great Patriotic War is reflected.
The first badges devoted to the Great Patriotic War, have appeared in the mid-sixties.
The releases devoted to a holiday of the Victory — became traditional on May, 9th.
The present edition itself richly illustrated catalogue of memorable badges of hero towns with explanatory to them.

Сейчас в коллекциях фалеристов имеются целые разделы, в которых отражена героическая история Вооруженных Сил СССР, ратный подвиг советского народа в годы Великой Отечественной.
Первые значки, посвященные Великой Отечественной войне, появились в середине 60-х годов.
Традиционными стали выпуски, посвященные празднику Победы — 9 мая.
Настоящее издание вредставляет собой богато иллюстрированный каталог памятных значков городов-героев с пояснениями к ним.
