DN ZENO PREP AVG (sic), Bust of Zeno facing right / CONCORDIA, Zeno standing, long cross in his hand, holding a globe, captive at his feet. 18mm, 3.83 grams. Mint of Constantinople. RIC 948 variety.
A great rarity, with only a handful of known examples. Struck in Constantinople, probably for circulation in the Roman settlements in southern Ukraine. The creators of RIC had only 1 example to examine, although a number of other is known to exist.
