Valerian II (c. 256–258 CE) was the elder son of the emperor Gallienus and grandson of Valerian I. He was appointed Caesar while still a youth and placed nominally in charge of the Danubian provinces under the supervision of the general Ingenuus. Valerian II died prematurely, probably in 258 CE, after which his younger brother Saloninus was elevated to Caesar.
