Historical context:
This brass medal was issued in Denmark in 1892 to commemorate the 50th wedding anniversary of King Christian IX (1818–1906) and Queen Louise (1817–1898), who married on 26 May 1842. Known as the "Father-in-law of Europe", Christian IX was the patriarch of several royal houses. The inscription “For Honour and Justice” reflects the royal values of the era. The medal was likely distributed widely as a commemorative or wearable keepsake.
