This book is a magnificent and educational way to present a statistical overview of the total and continuous production at the Potosí Mint, including both cob coins and circular coins in silver and gold, from its beginnings in 1574 to the early days of the Bolivian Republic in 1825.
It complements this information with production quantities from the Lima Mint, the premier mint of the Viceroyalty of Peru, which, despite its intermittent activity, held paramount importance. This allows readers to approach the real economic impact of these two mints on the Spanish Empire and, of course, on the entire world.
