NGC MS 61. L.E. Bruun Collection.

Extremely RARE collectible gem - One Taler of August of Schleswig-Holstein-Norburg-Ploen (1676-1699). ONE-YEAR issue - 1676, this coin is minted to Commemorate the conclusion of the Oldenburg territorial dispute between Duke Joachim Ernst and the King of Denmark. Duke August was His son who signed the inheritance union with his brothers after Joachim Ernst death. This beautiful coin with its medallic design reflects flying bird over the land with balanced scales which represents long-standing dispute in between the Danes and the Germans. Great historical significance coin! Attractive aged patina with some spotty appearance on obverse creates very "cabinet" look and definitely justify MS 61 grade from NGC. RARE variety - with date on obverse in curvature - not as a straight line (Davenport 3722-A). Part of the famous L.E. Bruun Collection of the Scandinavian Coins!! Perfect investment piece for serious collectors!
