It is an extremely difficult to find this popular "Franconia" double thaler of Frankfurt-am-Main in proof-uncirculated grade - NO proof mintage in Krause and only couple of coins you can see on auctions maybe ones in 2-3 years despite of an abundant amount of uncirculated coins of this type on market. We are offering one 1866 specimen with reflective mirrored fields, sharp strike and gorgeous golden toning, little-bit patchy on obverse. Very appealing- looking coin! Some contact marks on obverse determine the grade - graded as PR 62 by PCGS. Only one coin graded higher with only 2 coins graded by PCGS on this year. Amazing collectible coin in general! Super-popular item!
