This Bolivian banknote was issued in 1982. It has a face value of 1000 pesos bolivianos. The dimensions of this banknote are 155 mm in length and 65 mm in width.

The obverse of the banknote features a multicolored background dominated by black, pink, and green colors. The portrait of Juana Azurduy de Padilla is depicted on the right. The Bolivian coat of arms is located in the center of the banknote. The name of the issuer, « BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA », is printed at the top. The serial numbers, in red, are placed at the top left and bottom right. The face value of « 1000 » is indicated in numerals at the top left and in both lower corners. The face value is also written in letters, « MIL PESOS BOLIVIANOS », at the bottom center. Two signatures in black, accompanied by the titles of the signatories, also appear at the bottom center. A watermark area is visible on the left. The name of the printer, « THOMAS DE LA RUE AND COMPANY LIMITED », is printed at the bottom. The following inscriptions can be read: « 1000 BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA », « Nº G34064530 », « D.S. 19023 DE 25 DE JUNIO DE 1982 », « GERENTE PRESIDENTE », « MIL PESOS BOLIVIANOS », « JUANA AZURDUY DE PADILLA » and « THOMAS DE LA RUE AND COMPANY LIMITED ».

The reverse of the banknote is printed in black and multicolored. It depicts the House of Liberty in the center. The name of the issuer is repeated at the top. The face value of « 1000 » is indicated in numerals on the left and in both right corners, and in letters at the bottom center. The name of the printer is also mentioned at the bottom.
