Italy, Grand Duchy of Tuscany, Florence (Firenze), Ferdinando I of Medici, silver piastra. His bust right in the robes of a cardinal/cross of St. Stephen, surrounded by six palle, and crowned with a ducal coronet and galero.

This scarce issue dates from the first year of Ferdinando I's reign, while he was still a lay cardinal; he was to marry in 1588 and lose this status.

Certified and graded by NGC as VF 35. Scarce.
