Founded in 1679 in Amsterdam, the Wynand Fockink distillery has operated for over 350 years as a traditional producer of liqueurs and genever (Dutch gin). Known for its historic tasting tavern (proeflokaal) in the city center, it remains a celebrated piece of Amsterdam's Golden Age.
Despite the current corporate ownership by Lucas Bols, the distillery and the narrow alleyway tasting room in Amsterdam retain their authentic 17th-century appearance. Today, it continues to craft over 70 traditional genevers and liqueurs using age-old recipes and traditional copper stills.
