Obverse: TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS. Laureate head right.
Reverse: PONTIF MAXIM. Livia (as Pax) seated right, holding olive-branch and long vertical sceptre; ornate legs to chair.
EF condition the obverse, a bit less the reverse (EF-), conserving complete details on both sides and bold reliefs. Excellent head of Tiberius, really well preserved. Besides the coin looks much better in the hand than in the photo (really, it´s not a topic). Toned silver.
A very nice example of the "Tribute Penny" of Biblical fame.
RIC I 30. Rome mint, AD 14-37. 3,80 g - 16,5 mm
