Ovide Yencesse (1869–1947) was a French sculptor and medalist known for his finely crafted relief work. A student of Hubert Ponscarme at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he became a leading figure in Art Nouveau medal engraving. Yencesse’s works often depicted allegorical and poetic themes with delicate, expressive detail. He was awarded the title of Peintre-graveur and contributed significantly to the evolution of French medallic art. His legacy endures in museum collections and private numismatic circles.
