Crowned Dutch coat of arms with lion holding sword and arrows, denomination "2½ G" on either side, date "1849" above, legend around: "MUNT VAN HET KONINGRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN" (Coin of the Kingdom of the Netherlands).

This 2½ Gulden coin was struck in the final year of King Willem II's reign (1840–1849).
